Digital literacy is part of 21st century literacy, and it is gaining importance in education.  Students need to learn to acquire digital literacy to help them communicate better ideas through the use of e.g computers.

This site offers good understanding of digital literacy and shows how to teach this literacy.

Digital Literacy defined

I have started looking at Digital Literacy to be used as the content/ skills in my research.  I am more interested in Transmedia literacy and I am still at the level of positioning the literacy within 21st century learning.  A good start is to look at the definition of Digital literacy.
